And so Caprice is on land now as I want to properly inspect the rudder. Think I might need to replace a layer of nylon around the ‘roderstocken’…. Glad I’m doing it but now time is getting more and more precious!
I am lying in the boat making this website before going to sleep. And so I make my first blog entry. I had my last day at work at Brännö Skola today. So now all my time can be spent preparing Caprice.
The mast is down awaiting new stays and will be checked from top to toe and polished and all.
There is still so much to do…. Will I be able to set sail this summer. Yes ! I must. But I promise myself and all my dear ones that I will only leave if and when I feel that Caprice is ready and fitted with all the right things to take me across the seas safely.
This is me celebrating that Caprice made it all the way from Stockholm to home harbour at Brännö three weeks ago (well after getting stuck in the mud 2 meters from the jetty of course) 🙂
